Pat, Al and Timmy
I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you all. I feel that living so far away that I have missed out on so much family time and have been completely out of touch, for this I am deeply sorry. My closets memories were when we lived right next door those couple of years. Those were the days. I love and miss you all. Mike will always be in my heart and greatly missed.

Hey Mike,
I know you're up there looking down on all of us and I want you to know that you were deeply missed this holiday season and definately this new year. Your mom really needs you now. I'm sure Tim and Al do too. It's not the same without you, it never will be. We went to KP's for lunch, last time I was there so were you. I just want you to know that no matter how many years go by, you will ALWAYS be missed in this family and we ALL just love you so much. Wish you were here to light up the room for us!!!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
I didn't know Mike well but my brother did and I can tell you that the two of them are swapping stories and playing guitar together in Heaven. They are both stars now.I'm sorry for your loss but know that he is in a better place than we are here and soon we will see all our departed loved ones again.

Mike,
It is not often that I get to visit home but it is often that I speak about it and remember all of our good times. Often the stories are from the neighborhood, you, me, Keith, Dave, Bip, Chad and the rest. So many people remember your laughter, jokes, talent and joy but I also remember what a kind heart you had. If any of us girls in the neighborhood was upset you always made sure to give us those great big hugs and wipe our tears away. You will be missed but always spoken about in the greatest ways! Love you!~Tami

Anyone that knew Mike, knew him pretty much the same way, rediculously hillarious with the goofiest sounds and faces that could've been trademarked. I'll think of him every time I TRY to start and drive the dump truck I bought from him.
The dump truck that caused so much stress and aggrevation it will make me smile every time I see it, start it and work from it.(and dump a ton more money into it)Plans to work together from it will be missed.
That truck next summer will be completely restored and appropriately named "Miss Cote"
He was a reliable, trustworthy friend that put you first when you called on him, someone I would've done anything for.
He was a future star in evryones eyes and I was one his biggest fans. His music will live on in our heads (and stereos) and his humor in our hearts forever.
I've written something(inspired by thoughts of Mike) I'm sure he would've made fun of me for, given the oppotunity.Because he could'nt "Kippy"already did it for him.

It's called
"Angel In The Sun"...

So much to say, so little time
Your memories are just like mine..
Growing smiles from fleeting thoughts
Of images that can't be bought

I've often thought, do angels cry?
Believe they do. You can't deny..
Our hearts were touched so many ways
His life shines through the darkest days

Through angels tears we seek the sun
And,thank the Lord that he's now one
Through parted clouds and silver skies
Gods open arms relieve our sighs.

"We've not lost a friend, We've gained an angel"...

(we'll miss you here and see you there)

God bless ALL immediate family and friends who are sharing the pain of this tremendous loss. We'll all miss his presence around us as he'll always live within us.

My deepest sympathies...I'll always miss you Mike. Your friend, -dale-

Michael,
You were a brother to me, and I can not imagine this world without you. We have shared so many memories together, and I will hold them dearly in my heart. I will never forget your smile and your laughter that would light up a room.
I can still remember the day I moved in with you, Tim mom and dad. You were all there for me. You took me under your wing, and you shared all your friends with me. I have built many friendships because of you. Now we will all gather to celebrate the powerful impact you left in our lives.
I will smile today, knowing you are safely rested in the LORD'S arms. No more tears, no more heartache. I know you will be with my Dad, Ovid and Madora, Grandma and Grandpa Connel, Big Ritchie and Little Ritchie, Aunty Maureen, Uncle Mike, Cousin John, Uncle Jimmy, Janet, Mike Murphy, Joe Matos, and little Brayden. You will all be gathered in the family's presence today, easing our hearts.
Michael, you have joined our family in Heaven, and the family here will miss you. The greatest gift in life is LOVE, and we will all celebrate the LOVE you have ALL left us!

Rest in peace Michael C. Cote....
All my Love,
Laurie Lindsey

November 26, 2008

The world is very much a different place without Mike in it. He brought a presence with him that filled the room with laughter and good cheer; it was as if you knew you were in the room with someone very special. I was blessed enough to not only have known Mike for many years but to be a friend that got to sit around and listen to him just plug away on an acoustic and come out with the best songs you ever heard. His writing and composition skills were a minblowing inspiration to many of the people who were lucky enough to hear it in his music. And as a friend, he would walk to the ends of the earth and back for you and tell you about every little bump in the road along the way to make sure you laughed uncontrollably but understood how far he'd go for you. He will be truly missed by me and many many others.

To Mikes family, my deepest condolences and sympathy.

Sincerely,
Mike's friend Scott

Mike, I can't even imagine the rest of my life without you in it!

5th grade through our senior year in highshool is the most memorable times of my life and without you during it would have been a real plain life. And nevermind Ages 18-34,If I could do it all again I wouldnt change a thing!!

All those summers spent getting into trouble and not so much getting into trouble but just being us!! worrying the hell out of our parents nights on end, and what we tried to do to make it up to them was real funny.

I cant decribe what you meant to me mike in words, and during those years if it wasnt for your parents guiding me through those years I really needed it,you not only gave me your friendship but you gave me your family too and I will never forget that as long as I live Mike Cote.

I cant recall anytime during our friendship that you werent there for me when I needed you,And if you couldnt do it for me you found someone that could..I can honestly say I will never again in my life ever have a best friend like you, theres only one and you were it buddy.

You know I will find a way throught this.Someway somehow,But the one thing thats for sure is your forever in my memories and believe me when I say it I will never ever forget you.

Forever your friend
