Aldo Gatti was the kindest and most gentle of human beings. I had the good fortune of being his cousin through my father, Ralph Gatti, who was his double first cousin. He always had a smile for everyone especially children. I will miss his laugh, his irrepressible good humor and generous nature. He will forever be in my heart.

Aldo Gatti was a man of true greatness, a man who provided a legacy for countless Worcester area families. I hired him to create a grave stone for my parents and in the brief time I spent with him, learned about his devotion to his calling and to the Worcester community. Upon my asking, he shared how events had forced him to give up his dream of graduating from Holy Cross and becoming a doctor to serve in WWII. I later learned how his talents were sought far and wide across the cultural landscape of greater Worcester. When he paused to show my young children his magnificent stoneworks and sculptures, it became clear just how devoted a man and how great an artist he was. My favorite among his works was his memorial for Spag. God Bless Aldo Gatti, your gifts to so many of all faiths will last forever.
