Lisa Parke Obituary

Lisa A. (Burns) Parke, 44, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 26th in St. Vincent Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of twenty one years, John M. Parke; her two children, Cameron B. and Delaney B. Parke all of Worcester; her parents, Henry and Cecilia B. (Gault) Burns; a sister, Dianne Carr all of West Boylston; her only great nephew, Kobe; her beloved dog, "Budweiser"; many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Lisa was born in Worcester and grew up in West Boylston. She graduated from West Boylston High School, attended Quinsigamond Community College and lived most of her life in Worcester. Lisa worked as a teacher's aide for the Pre Kindergarten Class many years at St. Stephen's School. She loved working with young children. She will be missed by her family, friends and the entire St. Stephen School family. Lisa's family would like to thank the St Stephen family for all the help at her time of need.

Lisa was a member of St Stephen Church; She loved the White Mountains, the beaches of New England, the Holidays and decorating for all seasons.

The funeral will be held Monday, December 1st from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, November 30th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parke Children Educational Fund, care of Flagship Bank, 491 Shrewsbury St. Worcester 01604.

My son Joey was Lisa's pre-school class last year at St. Stephen's. She really helped make his first school experience more positive. I remember him sitting on her lap for the Christmas program last year. She was a wonderful person I am so sorry for your loss.
