Sorothy Butler Obituary

Dorothy M. (Videberg) Butler, 84, of Leominster, formerly of Oakdale, CT and, Waterbury, CT, died Thursday, November 27 at the Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Butler who died in 2004.

Born in Springfield, daughter of the the late Erik Sven and Minnie A. (Merkel) Videberg, she was raised in Waterbury, CT attending local schools and resided in Oakdale, CT for some time before moving to Leominster in 2004. She was a dance instructor in Connecticut and enjoyed music and dancing throughout her life. She has been a resident of the Sunrise Assisted Living in Leominster since 2005 where she received warm and loving care and Dorothy's family extends their gratitude to the staff of Sunrise Assisted Living. She is survived by her 3 sisters-in-law, Valary Bradley of Berlin, Susan Coppney and Beverly Cunio, both of South Boston; her brother-in-law, George Butler of South Boston and her niece and caretaker, Susan Seed of Clinton. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA.
