Richard Jakubowski Obituary

Richard Jakubowski, 62, of 20 Lincoln St., died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 25, 2008.

He leaves his loving family: one brother, Ronald Jakubowski and his wife Mary of Dudley; two sisters: Jeanne Thomay and her husband Frank of Hingham, Mary Piette and her husband Mark of Webster; a dear nephew and nieces, grand nephews and nieces. He was born in Webster, the son of the late Alexander Jakubowski and the late Ann (Mazurek) and lived here all his life.

A funeral Mass for Richard will be Monday, December 1st at 10 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Calling hour is on Monday, December 1st from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund. Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley assisted the family.

My heartfelt condolances to the Jakubowski family for their loss. I have always had a special place in my heart for Richard as he hired me for my first job. Both he and Ron helped shape my work ethic that I carry with me to this day. Even as a teen I considered Richard a friend and have many special memories of making him chuckle when you knew he was trying to be serious. I owe part of my success today to Richard and Ron and wanted the family to know their impact in my life.
