Doris Mulcunry Obituary

Doris (Hackett) Mulcunry, 85, of Westborough and Jupiter, FL, died Thursday in the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Westborough, after a short illness.

Her husband, James J. Mulcunry, Jr. died in 1991.

She is survived by her children, James Mulcunry and wife, Linda of Worcester, Charles Mulcunry and wife, Laurie of Enfield, CT and Kathy Petto and husband, John, of Hopedale. She also leaves her seven loving grandchildren and one great granddaughter, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her second great grandchild.

She was born in Southington, CT the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Waggenbrenner) Hackett. She was educated in Bristol, CT schools.

She had previously been a dance instructor for many years at the Lena Ghio Scholl Dance Studio. Doris also taught ballroom dancing to countless seventh and eighth graders in Bristol during the 60's. She retired in the early 1970's. During her years in Florida, Doris enjoyed line dancing and spent many meaningful hours doing volunteer work at Jupiter Medical Center.

A Memorial funeral Mass will be held December 6, at 11 AM in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury. Burial will take place in Florida at a later date.

There are no calling hours.
