Diana Bastien Obituary

Diana D. (Langlois) Bastien, 61 of Lebanon Hill Road died Monday in Saint Vincent's Hospital after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

She leaves her husband of 40 yrs. William E. Bastien. They were married April 27, 1968. She also leaves 2 daughters, Bonnie Bastien of Brookline, MA and Nora and her husband Ben Kreft of Southbridge; 2 sisters, Irene Fontaine and Dolores Brousseau, and a brother, Armand J. Langlois Jr. all of Southbridge; many nieces and nephews.

Diana was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Armand J. and Carmen (Cardenas) Langlois and lived here all her life. She was a Human Resource Assistant at Incom, Inc. in Charlton and also was an Emerald IBO in Amway/Quixtar for many years. She also previously worked at the American Optical Co. for 22 yrs. Diana was a member of Notre Dame Church and was a graduate of Southbridge High School and attended Nichols College.

Diana's funeral will be Saturday (Dec. 6th) from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., Southbridge with a Mass at 10 AM in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM.

Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA 02445.

Bill, Bonnie and Nora,
We are saddened to hear about Diana's passing, but know that it must be a relief in someways as she is no longer suffering with the cancer. We will miss her. We had her on our prayer list at church and thought of her and all of you often.
