Takeko Soucie Obituary

Takeko (Fujimaki) Soucie, "A GRAND WOMAN", passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on December 1st.

Takeko was the beloved wife of 33 years and best friend of Raymond F. Soucie; cherished sister to Michko Sakai of Tokyo, Japan and sister-in-law to Akiko Fugimaki of Tokyo and extended family in Japan. As a loving mother she leaves her proudest creations, her daughters, Doris Howard and her husband William of East Brookfield, Louise Earle and her husband Denison of Cherry Valley, Bet Lloyd of Leicester and Terry Lloyd-Hurley and her husband Glenn with whom Raymond and Takeko lived with in Cherry Valley. She was a loving step-mother to Theresa Soucie of New Bedford, Tammy Burke and her husband Mike of Fitchburg, Kristina Cobb of Dudley and Karen Gentile and her husband Anthony of East Brookfield. A wonderful grandmother to Takeko, Kristina, Ryan, Cole, Milisa, Brianna, Cherie, Marc, Ellen, Jennie, Katie, Lucia, Danielle, Justine, Tim, Tara, Melanie, Nicholas, Rebecca, Andrew and Ryan B.; great-grandmother to Brooke, Arianna, Alexis, Robert, Zachariah, Sarah, Madyson, Ryan, Rosa and Amelia.

Takeko was born in Yamanashi, Japan daughter of Takeo and Kyoko (Kobayashi) Fujimaki. A friend to all who had the pleasure of making her acquaintance. Her courage, bravery and strength has been and always will be an inspiration to all of us.

In honor of Takeko's request there will be a celebration of her life at her home at 32 Second St., Cherry Valley, on Saturday, Dec. 6th. from 2 to 5 p.m.

Butterfly's are free to fly....fly away home. Morin-Morrison Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Hospice, Development Office, 120 Thomas St, Worcester, MA 01608.
