Robert Boucher Obituary

Robert A. Boucher, 52, of 362 High St., died suddenly Friday December 1 after being stricken ill while hunting. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Deborah J. (Rondeau) Boucher; his 4 children, Sarah Boucher of Racine, WI, Heather and her husband Cory Bennett of Racine, WI, Brian and his wife Alicia Surrette of Uxbridge, and Amy and her husband James Ruivinho of Whitinsville; three grandchildren, Katlyn, Victoria, and Gage; his parents, Robert A Boucher of Keene, NH, Myra Wild of Waltham; a brother, David Boucher of Uxbridge; three sisters, Brenda Kasper of Uxbridge, Sheila Moore of Uxbridge, and Deborah Metcalf of Milford; his in-laws, Edward and Jane Rondeau of Uxbridge; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces; and many good friends. Born in Whitinsville on July 17, 1956 Bob lived in Uxbridge all of his life.

Mr. Boucher was a software engineer for EMC Corp. in Hopkinton for the past 21 years. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School Class of 1974 and Sylvania Tech. He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding his heritage soft tail. He belonged to the Patriot Riders, an honor guard group which escorts deceased veterans. He was also a charter member of the American Legion Riders, Uxbridge Post 33. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Whitinsville Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed socializing with his friends and was always one to lend a hand. "Always a friend helping a friend."

His funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. at the First Evangelical Congregational Church of Uxbridge on Court St. in Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge are Thurs. December 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Although I will not be able to make it today to Bobby's funeral my prayers and thoughts will be with each and everyone today. I am so sorry we lost Bobby. We are all a better person today having had him in our lives. I am blessed to have had him as a cousin and like to think all the years since his terrible accident have all been a true blessing.
