Florence Cory Obituary

Florence (Pariseau) Cory, 102, formerly of Wheelock Street and Charlton Street, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore E. Cory of Oxford, who died in 1976; and a son, Kenneth Cory who died in 1944. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Gorham of Upton and Donna M. Ferreira of Oxford; four grandchildren, Stephen Gorham, Donna Wolfgang, Kenneth Ferreira, and Todd Ferreira; five great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Regina Waters of Oxford. She was born in Oxford on July 31, 1906, the daughter of the late Joseph and Delina (DeLaire) Pariseau, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford many years ago. Mrs. Cory was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford.

A funeral will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, December 4, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Camillus Health Center, 447 Hill Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588.
