Doris Saari Obituary

Doris Hazel (Schools) Saari, 96, widow of Valentine I. Saari, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008, in the Cape Regency Nursing Home. Hazel was born in Putnam, CT, daughter of Agnes (Staudering) and Joseph Schools. Before moving to the Cape, Hazel lived in Boylston where she was a member of the Boylston Grange #111.

She leaves a daughter, Alberta L. Carlson of Hyannis; a son, David S. Saari of Hubbardston; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Doris Trudy Leoni; son, Richard V. Saari; brother, Ralph Schools; sister, Alberta Arnott; and grandson, David Carlson.

The funeral service will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester MA, Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. For on-line condolences and directions to the funeral home, please visit:
