Ruth Raymus Obituary

Ruth M. Raymus, 83, passed away on Dec. 2, 2008 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Grace (Eastman) Harrison. She was predeceased by her husband Charles B. Raymus and her son Ralph J. Raymus. Ruth was a graduate of David Fanning Trade School as a Hairdresser and worked in her trade for many years. Ruth lived and worked in Worcester, Massachusetts and was also a volunteer for many years at Saint Vincent Hospital until 3 years ago when her health declined and she moved to Norfolk, Virginia.

Ruth is survived by her son, William F. Raymus and "daughter-in-law" Naomi Laureen Ross of Norfolk, Virginia; daughter, Charlene A. Millette and husband Carl of Worcester, Massachusetts; a grandson, Charles Albert Niquette of Auburn, Massachusetts; two granddaughters, Jennifer Tayman and her husband Mike of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Jannette Johnson and her husband Dan of Norfolk, Virginia; three great-granddaughters; cousins, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 13, 2008 at 11 a.m at Hadwen Park Congregational Church UCC, 6 Clover St., Worcester, Massachusetts. Internment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory to the American Diabetes Association or the Hadwen Park Congregation Church Building Fund.

Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St., Worcester is directing arrangements.
