We will so miss this terrific guy who was as a brother to me since we have known each other through the years. He met my dear friend Phyllis in March '53 when she and I were MAHSN classmates and I met my future husband Johnny in June '53. We double-dated, married the same year ('56), and visited each others' homes in Mass & Fla many times. We felt that their family was ours and vice-versa. Phyllis & Emil came to Fla in March several years when we had our local ACS Relay For Life and helped in our fervent cause to stamp out the monster disease
of cancer!
He always quoted a Scottish proverb to me when I was concerned about a problem:"Let the cares of tomorrow wait til this day is done."
We'll miss you very much, Emil, You were a man of courage, concern for family, and faith and we count ourselves blessed to have known you. Eternal rest, dear friend.........
Love,
Chris & Johnny

Emil and Phnyllis would visit us for
a few days each February in Florida.
One February Emil brought Tim a
bottle of gin in a blue bottle for a
gift. Tim had never seen gin in a blue bottle,so, to play a joke on Emil, Tim made the gin and tonic
drinks, but he put a bit of blue
Curacaou in Emil's. When Emil recieved it he looked a bit bemused
and tried to move the drink a bit
away, to be diplomatic ,and did not
say anything. Tim then said,
"Emil I have brought you a great gin and tonic from your blue bottle of gin" They both howled with laughter
and Emil enjoyed his drink. It became a standing joke with the two of them for years to come. Emil was a perfect gentleman. We shall
so miss seeing Emil and Phyllis
this February. Mary and Tim
