Jacqueline Dickie Obituary

Jacqueline H. (Dirsa) Dickie, 74, of Worcester died Sunday December 7, 2008 in her home with her family. Her husband, Charles Dickie died in 1992.

She leaves a daughter, Kim Flynn and her husband James, with whom she lived; two grandsons, David M. and James R. Dickie; a brother, James Dirsa, all of Worcester and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of James and Helen (Kingas) Dirsa.

Mrs. Dickie was a printer for over 32 years at Paul Revere Life Insurance Company prior to retiring. She graduated from Commerce High School. Jacqueline was an excellent and creative cook. Besides her family, she also enjoyed reading, swimming and walking.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 11, with a service at 7:45 p.m. in HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, December 11, from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m.

I fondly remember my December trips to Fairbanks Street to drive Jackie to and from the annual Paul Revere holiday party. It was always a treat because she was so nice and friendly. I could always count on a great big hug. I'll miss her.
