Ruth Penttinen Obituary

On December 7, 2008, Ruth (Bjorkland) Penttinen, age 92, passed away at the Voorhees Center. Born in Worcester, MA, Ruth had moved to Norwich, CT in 1956 where she resided until moving to New Jersey in 1996. She had worked at the Norwich Medical Center and she enjoyed doing needlework.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Oliver J. Penttinen. She is lovingly survived by her children, Jane (Joseph) Sidebotham of Mantua, Ilona (James) Schrader of Sterling, CT and Edwin Penttinen of Mantua; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Phila., PA 19106. You may contact her daughter, Jane Sidebotham at 51 West Elm Avenue, Mantua, NJ 08051. Arrangements HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Cherry Hill, NJ.

Jane&Ilona I'm so very sorry for your loss. I was just in Ct. I lost my dad Lucien Gocka Nov. 12 2008, Your mom taught me so much . I often think of all the times sewing at your house in CT.I would not have ever done this without her she was a good teacher .A wonderfull person .I'm so sorry.
