Charles Harris Obituary

Charles E. Harris, Sr., of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly at home Sat., Dec. 6th.

He was born, May 5th, 1945 in Greensboro, NC. Son of Cicero "Jack" and Annie Harris of NC.

He leaves his wife, Mary (Alafberg) Harris; 8 children, Charles Jr., Melissa, Tammie, Abby, Kashawn, Amy, Cheryl, and Carley; 3 brothers, Bobby, Ralph, Boe; one sister, Dottie; 18 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved dog Coby. He also had 3 brothers and 1 sister who predeceased him, Efrim, Junior, Thurman, and Frankie.

He worked at Worcester Wire Co., Richard Honda, and O'Connell & Dickie Moving Co.

He was an avid fisherman and loved listening to music.

A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Dec. 13th at 11 AM at the Covenant - St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 24 Hamilton St., Worcester MA, 01604.

To my Harris family: We know not when God is coming for us. We need to take this time to draw nearer to the Lord and know that cousin Charles will be missed. I wish I had the opportunity to have know him better. I do know, he is family, and will be missed, and may God bless the rest of the family. God will get us through all things!
