Gloria C. Senecal

Gloria C. (Roberts) Senecal, 80, a life long Southbridge resident, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. She was the wife of the late Roland R. "Jack" Senecal, who died in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Darleen Chapdelaine and her husband Ron of Sturbridge; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Chapdelaine of Boston, and Michelle and Monique Chapdelaine, both of Southbridge; a sister, Elaine L'Heureux of Southbridge; and many nieces and nephews.

She was born in Southbridge, and was the daughter of the late Winfield and Rena (Recore) Roberts.

Mrs. Senecal was a homemaker and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also worked as a volunteer at Harrington Memorial Hospital for many years and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 30 Charlton St., Southbridge. Burial will follow at Old Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 from 5:00–8:00 PM.
