Rosina Conte Obituary

Rosina "Rose" (Marchese) Conte, 86, of Worcester passed away Sunday, June 14th surrounded by her devoted family.

Rose is survived by her devoted husband and partner of 59 years, Domenico Conte; her cherished five children, Santo Conte and his wife Bombina of Worcester, Antonio Conte and his wife Assunta in Acri, Italy, Giuseppe Conte and his wife Pina, Francesca Patramanis and her husband Perry, Angelo Conte and his wife Darlene all of Worcester; three brothers, Antonio "Tony" and Armando Marchese of Worcester, and Natale Marchese in Acri, Italy; two sisters, Maria O'Connor of West Boylston and Ortenza Viterritti of Parma, Italy; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A brother Vincenzo Marchese and a sister Assunta Marchese pre deceased her. She was born in Acri, province of Cosenza, Italy, a daughter of Francesco and Bombina (Altomare) Marchese. Rosina has lived in Worcester since, 1968.

Rosina worked many years for Come Play Products in Worcester before retiring.

Rose was a simple, gentle woman, who cherished her Italian heritage, was devoted to the well being of her husband, children and grandchildren. Her family was her life and their accomplishments and company were her treasure.

Rose's funeral will be held Thursday, June 18th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday June 17th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Beato Angelo Society, 19 Spofford Rd., Worcester, 01607.
