Barbara M. Sjoberg

Barbara M. (Orcutt) Sjoberg, 85, of Howe Village died Monday, June 15 in Overlook Masonic Home after an illness.

She leaves a son, Robert A. Sjoberg, Jr. and his wife Gail of Grafton; two daughters Patty Sjoberg Soobitsky and her husband Stuart of Charlton and Pamela Sjoberg Simonis of Spencer; a sister, Joan Urquhart of Butler, PA; and two granddaughters, Tiffany Soobitsky and Shaina Simonis.

Mrs. Sjoberg was born and raised in Worcester, one of 11 children, daughter of Herbert and Florence (Noe) Orcutt. One of her favorite childhood memories was chasing the horse drawn ice truck and picking up ice chips. She worked at David Clark Co. making parachutes for the military during World War II, and later worked at Astra Pharmaceuticals in the operations department for many years before retiring. She loved to read, go shopping, cooking and spending time with her family. She was always a very giving person and enjoyed making people happy and laugh.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202. J.
