Samuel Sbrogna Obituary

Samuel M. Sbrogna, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 16 surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his wife of 27 years, Maureen E. (Barrett) Sbrogna; two adoring daughters: Sarah Sbrogna and her fiance, Joseph Frizzi of Swampscott and Marybeth Sbrogna and her boyfriend, Richard H. Casey of Worcester; his beloved mother, Constance (Uccello) Sbrogna of Shrewsbury; his brother and best friend, Joseph and his wife, Linda Sbrogna of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. Besides his family he leaves his dearest friend, Patty Eager and his beloved pets: Lucy, Ricky, Frankie, Vicki and Demis.

He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Joseph Sbrogna and graduated from North High School and Quinsigamond Community College. He worked as a clerk for the Worcester County Sheriff's Department for many years. Sam enjoyed gardening, pets, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, June 20 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with a Memorial Service to be held at 5:30 at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, ATTN: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I worked with Sam for a long time at Shipley and missed him when I left. Sam always managed to find the humor and irony in situations - always bringing a smile and laugh when we needed it the most. He was perpetual motion, managing to do 10 things at a time. You were the best father anyone could ever ask for and I'm truly blessed for the beautiful 23 years I had with you.
