Frances Mercier Obituary

Frances M. (Senior) Mercier, 66, of 30 Pleasant St., formerly of Worcester, died Wednesday, June 17 at UMASS Memorial-119 Belmont St. in Worcester.

She leaves a son, Frank Mercier, Jr. and his wife Lisa; two daughters, Patricia Mercier and Karin Daigle all of Leicester; three brothers, Thomas Senior of Eastham, Michael Senior of Worcester and Joseph Senior of Spencer; a sister, Joanne Therrien of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Ronald J. Mercier and brothers, Robert and John Senior, III.

Frances worked at Heald Machine Corp. for many years, before retiring several years ago. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John C. and Rita (Pender) Senior and lived in Worcester before moving here in 2005. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and crochet and gardening. She was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to the Leicester Ambulance Fund, 3 Washburn Sq., Leicester, Ma. 01524. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.

Franny and I were close friends many years ago,and sisters in law for a short time.I have missed seeing her for a long time.Wish now that I had tried harder to find her.She was a very special person,always with a smile.Please accept my sympathies.

Frances will be missed by many. She was always laughing and smiling. I'm especially going to miss her advice and chatting at the cookouts this summer.
