Beatrice D'Amato Obituary

Beatrice M. D'Amato, 88, of 225 Greenville St., died Wednesday, August 22, one month shy of her 89th birthday, at UMass Memorial Hospital, 119 Belmont St.

She leaves her husband of 62 years, Albert A. D'Amato, she was the beloved mother of Paul G. D'Amato and his fiancé Marina Re of New York City, and Andrea L. D'Amato and her longtime companion Rose Gordon of Taos, New Mexico. She was a loving grandmother to Nandita D'Amato also of New Mexico. She leaves her sister Louise Ramsey and husband Harold of East Brookfield. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marion Tataronis in 1985. She leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Born in Leicester she was the daughter of George and Rose (Secor) Bercume. She graduated from David Prouty High School, married Albert and moved to Framingham where they lived for 30 years. In 1993 they moved back to Spencer so that Bea could be closer to the family she loved so much. She enjoyed nothing more than family gatherings. She was a great cook and wonderful mother. She will be missed by all.

Please join the family for a Memorial Service, Saturday, August 25 at 11 A.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Bea was in many ways like a mother to me too. I'll miss her hearty laughter, and those delicious brownies! My memories will always be of her smiling. Rest in peace, Bea. You were much loved.
