Pauline Martina "Paulie" Breault

Pauline Breault Obituary

Pauline Martina "Paulie" Breault, a former 56 year resident of Boylston, died peacefully at home early Wednesday, August 22, 2007 after a full and exciting life. Pauline's beloved husband, J. Donald Breault died July 19, 1971 and her twin brother, Paul O. Chabot passed May 5, 2003. Pauline will be fondly remembered by her four children, Donna M. Leonard of Oxford, Robert P. Breault and his wife Christine of Trafford, PA, Denyse C. Curtis and her husband Robert of Dove Canyon, CA, and Martina Breault DiTullio and her husband Tony of Boylston, MA. Pauline took enormous pride in her nine grandchildren, Kevin, Jodie, Amy, Heather, Dana, Chrissey, Nick, Jennifer and Monique, and her eight great-grandchildren, Brian, Dakoda, Jayme, Cori, Caden, Molly, Sofie and Emily. Pauline also leaves a sister in law, Kathleen Chabot of Worcester, MA, two nephews and a niece. Pauline's best friends Tess Anastasi, Louise Curci and Nancy Erickson will cherish the many years that they shared.

Pauline was born November 18, 1917 in West Quincy, MA and graduated from Commerce High School. She married Don on October 9, 1943. In the 1960's-70's, Pauline was the assistant manager of Howard Johnson's on Lincoln Street, Worcester. She went on to work as a hostess at Mount Pleasant Country Club for many, many years, up until her last day. She enjoyed five generations of club members' families just as much as they enjoyed her. She will be remembered for her dutiful work ethic, warm welcomes and positive attitude.

Pauline enjoyed her toy poodle Louie Garcon, speaking French, birds, traveling, reading, wine and fashion, but especially her family. She is forever cherished and shall be missed dearly.

Pauline's family invites all those who loved her to a memorial service commemorating her zest for life on Monday, August 27th, 10 a.m at St. Mary of the Hills Parish at 620 Cross Street, Boylston and to a reception following the Mass at Cyprian Keys Golf Club, 284 East Temple St., Boylston.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Hills Parish. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dear Pauline's Family,
Our family was there when Pauline first came to Mt. Pleasant. And it was love at first sight, not only for us, but the entire Club. Interesed in all of us, she greeted you with a smile and manner that was like a ray of sunshine. All of us will miss her. Sidney and Phyllis Dorfman

I worked with Mrs. Breault in the 60's along with my friend Terri at HoJos. Mrs. Breault was something else! She taught us to never waste a trip. Going from the dining room to the kitchen or back, you always had to have something in your hand!
I never DID forget her or her knowledge.
I'm sorry for your loss, but know that she'll live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her.

My son and I have recently joined Mt Pleasant and we were very fortunate to have met such a wonderful and special lady like Pauline. Pauline went out of her way every time she saw us to say hi, always with a big smile on her face. She exemplified the word class and I am sure she will be deeply missed.

Tina: I have many fond memories of working at Ho-Jo's in the early 70's with your mother and you and Bruce Johnson and Doug Leslie and Sonja and Mary Asadorian and Sandy and all the rest. Your mother was the picture of efficiency, impeccably dressed, and not a hair out of place--a real professional. I can see her now, hustling through that kitchen door, always on the move. Mrs. Breault took her job seriously, but she was always good for a laugh at the end of the shift. I especially remember the rides home on cold winter nights--your mother at the wheel, you riding shotgun, and Bruce Johnson and I in the back seat, hee-hawing over something Mr. Bonin had said--we usually managed to crack your mother up before we hit the top of Beverly Road . . . . R.I.P.

I will always cherish the "Boylston memories" growing up, and stopping into Howard Johnson's with my friends for a hot bowl of chili and a headlock from your Mom
And of course, Tina, our first day of school boarding "Uncle Dave's" bus

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

My sisters and I worked for Pauline Breault at Howard Johnson's during the 70's. She was a wonderful role model and we have fondly thought of her as we have had various dining experiences. On many occassions we have said "Mrs. Breault would not have let us get away with that". Pauline had a lasting impact on all of our lives. With sympathy, the 3 Harrington sisters - Cathy, Dotti and Janet.
