Melvin Beach Obituary

Melvin C. Beach, 95, passed away October 5, 2007. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Sharon L. and Robert Rezuke of North Grafton; one sister, Harriet Blake of Bridgewater; and his grandson, Brandon Rezuke. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Beach was born April 27, 1912 in Woodland, ME the son of the late Howard and Adelade (Stewart) Beach. He lived many years in Grafton and the past several years in Sutton. Mel was a 1929 graduate of St. Croix High School in Woodland (ME) and also attended Boston University. Mr. Beach was a World War II veteran serving in The US Navy in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a salesman for Carter Rice Stores Bement for 40 years retiring in 1977. He was a parishioner of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sutton and a former parishioner of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in North Grafton, a member of The Greendale Retired Men's Club in Worcester and Paul Revere Masonic Lodge in Brockton. Mel was an enthusiastic golfer playing as often as he could with affiliations at Marlborough (MA) Country Club, Clearview Country Club in Millbury and Juniper Hill Country Club in Northborough.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday October 20th at 11 a.m in St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Pleasant St. (off Rt 122A) in The Wilkinsonville Village of Sutton.

In accordance with his wishes Mel was cremated and his ashes laid to rest with Navy Honors next to his wife in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Abington. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Pleasant St., Sutton MA 01590. Arrangements are in the care of:
