Carol Hurteau Obituary

Carol F. (Rivard) Hurteau, 81, formerly of Worcester and Rhode Island, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Royal Nursing Home, 184 Main St, Fairhaven.

She leaves three sons, Paul Hurteau of Boston, Lawrence Hurteau of North Kingstown, RI, and Edward Hurteau and his wife Linda of Cranston, RI; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Her husband, Roland C. Hurteau, and a sister, Elizabeth McDermott, predeceased her. She was born in Tampico, Mexico, daughter of Edgar A. and Flora (Gaudette) Rivard. She graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester. Carol was a registered nurse, working in Worcester and Rhode Island hospitals in maternity and Emergency Room. She was also a private duty nurse.

The funeral will be held, Monday, October 22 with a service at 11:00 am at RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. A calling hour will be held Monday, Oct 22 from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
