Helen Olson Obituary

Helen Olson died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at Odd Fellows Home in Worcester. Helen was born January 11, 1916, in Worcester, the daughter of the late George and Grace (Rich) Stockbridge.

She graduated from Commerce High School in 1934 and married her childhood sweetheart in 1938.

Her husband B. Roger Olson died in 1980. Helen is also predeceased by 6 siblings, Robert Stockbridge, Shirley McGourty, Marjorie Ellis, Virginia Gray, Dorothy Onderdonk and Donald Stockbridge.

She is survived by her 6 children, R. Marilyn Hippert, Diane G. Labaire, Kenneth R. Olson, Beth M. Mitchell, Janet O. Ploof and David G. Olson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen retired from Worcester State Hospital in 1980. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of Belmont Street Baptist Church. She was a devoted Red Sox fan.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. The family has selected Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. to direct arrangements. For on-line condolences, please visit:
