Margaret Knapik Obituary

Margaret M. "Peggy" (Muscatell) Knapik, 78, of Northbridge, died on Friday, October 19, 2007, after a short illness.

Her husband of 42 years, Joseph S. Knapik, Sr., died in 1997. She leaves her brothers: Frank Muscatell of Whitinsville and Clarence "Chilly" Muscatell of Millbury; a stepdaughter, Joanne Socha of Ann Arbor, MI; and several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Her sister, Doris Ryan of Omaha, NE, predeceased her.

Born in Millbury on October 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Dominic and Constance B. (Gabree) Muscatell, Peggy was raised there and later lived in Uxbridge, Douglas, Northbridge, and Whitinsville; she returned to Northbridge in 2005. She worked as a winder for 10 years at Lusignan Textile Co., Linwood, before retiring in 1991. Previously, she was a packer and machine operator at Snyder Beef Co., Sutton, and a winder at Stanley Woolen Co., Uxbridge, for many years. She was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Parish, Whitinsville, and she enjoyed flower gardening.

Her funeral will be Tuesday, October 23, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, with a funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 10 Waters St., Millbury. Burial beside her beloved husband in Central Cemetery, Millbury, will follow the Mass. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday, October 22, from 5 to 7 PM.

Peggy, I'm gonna miss you so much!!! Now who's gonna pick on me, or who is gonna call me the pest? I love you Peglet. The 3rd floor won't be the same without you!!! You got your number one wish.. You wanted to go home so badly!!! Well, you're there now, i hope you're happy.

And to the family, and Ray I'm so sorry for the loss. She'll be missed, but she's in peace now and she's so much happier, I'm sure.

Uncles Frank and Chilly, Mike and I want you both know how much we love Peggy and how much we will miss her. We have such fun memories of visiting her - she was quite a little hostess. We wish we could be there with you on Tuesday. We love you both very much.
