Ernest Paquin Obituary

Ernest H. Paquin, 83, of 9 Sixth St., died Wednesday, Oct. 24 at his home.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Laura M. (Bruneau) Paquin; a son, William H. Paquin and his wife Terry of Penobscot, ME.; two daughters: Debra Leigh and her husband Kevin of Warsaw, IN., and Paula Prager and her husband John of Glen Burnie, MD.; a step son, Bruce Bachant and his wife Judy of Hubbardston; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Pauline Paquin in 1961 and a brother, Richard Paquin in 1990.

Mr. Paquin worked at Crompton & Knowles Corp. in Worcester for 32 years before retiring in 1978.

He was born in Grafton the son of Henry and Cecelia (Normandin) Paquin and attended Grafton Schools. He later served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Adam-Coney-Frew Post 244 American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in W. Brookfield. He was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 29 at 12 p.m. with Military Honors in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Rte 9, Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605. VARNUM FUNERAL HOME, 43 E.Main St., W. Brookfield is directing arrangements.
