Norman Choiniere Obituary

Norman J. Choiniere, 73, of 4 Westview Ave., died Thursday, Oct. 25th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

He leaves his wife, Arlene M. (Blanchette) Choiniere; two sons, Norman J. Choiniere Jr. and his wife Debbie of Mansfield and Stephen M. Choiniere and his wife Jackie of Millbury; two brothers, Paul Choiniere of Worcester and Robert Choiniere of Dudley; a sister, Nancy Stowe of Glasstonbury, CT; four grandchildren, Kara, Joe, Mike and Nick Choiniere; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Edgar J. and Lillian (Cyr) Choiniere and a brother, Edgar Choiniere Jr.

Mr. Choiniere served in the Army National Guard for 35 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1992. He was a member of the Central Mass. R/C Modelers in Westborough and loved to travel in his motor home.

His funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 29th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place, West Brookline, MA 02445. Condolence book and directions available
