Evelyn Chiamis Obituary

Evelyn Chiamis, formerly of 309 Church Street, died October 28, 2007 at Varney Crossing Nursing Care Center in North Berwick, ME, where she received wonderful care and love from staff nurses and family for the past five years. She leaves a sister, Cleopatra Chiamis of Clinton; several nieces and nephews, including Alexis Julsonnet of ME, Poppy Regonini, Toni Nugent, Tracy Winn, Nancy Erickson, Andrew Julsonnet and John Downs, all of Clinton, George Julsonnet of CA, and Paul Chiamis of TN; several grandnieces and grandnephews. Three sisters, Stephanie Julsonnet, Georgia Downs, and Mary Gardner, and a brother, Daniel Chiamis predeceased her. Evelyn was born in Clinton, the daughter of Andrew and Kaliope Chiamis and was a lifelong resident. She worked at the former Colonial Press, Inc. of Clinton for many years before her retirement. She was a life member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Evelyn's funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Service at 11:00 AM in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 132 School St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
