Alexandros Woulas Obituary

Alexandros D. Woulas, 89, of 346 Grafton Street, died Saturday, October 27th in Saint Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Anthoula (Angelopos) Woulas; a son, Vasilios and his wife Kim Woulas of Palm Beach, FL; a daughter, Valerie Kalkounis of Worcester; 5 grandchildren: Karalyn, Christina, Alexander, Gina and Kosta; 2 great-grand daughters: Jalynn and Katerina. 5 brothers and 3 sisters predeceased him.

He was born in Filiates, Greece the son of Dimitrios and Olga (Gogou) Woulas. Mr. Woulas served in the Greek Army for 5 years during World War II and came to Worcester in 1966. He was a member of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Order of AHEPA. Mr. Woulas owned and operated A & V Pizza for 21 years.

The funeral is Wednesday, October 31st with a service at 10:00 AM in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are from 9:00 until 10:00 AM the day of the funeral in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Massachusetts, 11 Vanderbilt Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062.
