Pauline Parker Obituary

Pauline W. (Spinney) Parker, 92, formerly of 26 Schley St., died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham after a brief illness.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of thirty-two years, Chester A. Parker, who died in 1973. She is survived by her two loving children: a son, David A. Parker and his wife Victoria of Mexico, a daughter, Deborah A. Dougherty and her husband Quentin Looney of Washington, D.C.; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her five siblings: Arthur Spinney, Dorothea Linton, Daniel Spinney, Ruth Keith, and Frederick Spinney.

Pauline was born in Lancaster to the late Paul A. and Winifred M. (Clifford) Spinney and attended local schools. Upon graduation, she began employment with the Shirley Suspender Factory and later served as a truck driver at Fort Devens during WWII. Pauline later began a career with the Ray-O-Vac Company in Clinton from where she ultimately retired as Quality Control Inspector. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Clinton, served on their former Women's Council, and was a volunteer for many years with their CCD program where she was known for serving cookies and punch. She was a member of the Sterling Grange and long time volunteer for the Clinton Hospital Gift Shop.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours will be held Friday morning, prior to Mass from 9:30 until 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to W.H.E.A.T. Community Services-27 High St., Clinton, MA 01510.

I was very sorry to read about your mother's passing. I won't be able to get away from work this morning to be there at the service.
