Winston Fox Obituary
Mr. Fox was born in Worcester on December 7, 1925, the son of the late Winston E. and Alice E. (Whitely) Fox. He graduated from North High School in Worcester and attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Boston.
He was a United States Navy Veteran in WWII from 1943 to 1946. He was discharged as a Quartermaster First Class. He was also a Korean War Veteran with the United States Navy.
Mr. Fox worked for Robinson and Fox, Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors in Ware from 1946 to 1975. Then he started Fox Land Surveying in Holden in 1986, where he worked until his retirement in 1998. He was also a past president of Central Mass. Assoc. of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers. Winston was on the original Board of Trustees of "Worcester Flights Back".
Besides his wife, Mr. Fox is survived by his children: Linda D. Wurm and her husband Dr. W. Heinrich of Waltham, Richard D. Fox of Ware, and Tracey E. Bennett and her husband James of Hubbardston; his stepchildren: Charles W. Miller Jr. and his wife Joanne of Hampstead, NH, Gail L. Collupy and her husband Richard of Merrimack, NH and Cheryl A. Miller-Storozuk of Pelham, NH. He was the grandfather of 13: Anja E. deBoer-Joris of Vegennes, VT, Christa R. Wurm of Brookfield, VT, Rebecca S. Wurm of Ithaca, NY, Tina L. Fox of Greenfield, Shelby E. Bennett and Kailian R. Bennett, both of Hubbardston, Jennifer Williams and Curtis Williams, both of Lowell, Lindsey William of Mooresville, IN, Matthew Collupy and Shaun Collupy, both of Merrimack, NH, Michael Miller of Hampstead, NH, Vanessa Storozuk of Pelham, NH. He was the great grandfather of Axel deBoer of Vergennes, VT. Mr. Fox was the brother of Robert W. Fox and his wife Joan of Ormand Beach, Fl. He was predeceased by his late wife, Beverly Martin and his stepmother, Eleanor Fox Goudette.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford at 11 o'clock. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Winston's name to Faith House, Inc., 14L Burncoat St., Ware, MA 01606. Arrangements by Blake Funeral Home, Chelmsford.
