Robert Dunlap Obituary

Robert D. Dunlap, 61, of Marlboro, formerly of Blue Island IL., passed away Monday, Nov 5, 2007 after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Patricia (Ventura) Dunlap; his mother, Marguerite (Lorenz) Dunlap; a brother, Thomas Dunlap and his wife Rae and their three children; and a sister, Marjorie Lepore and her husband Michael and their two children. Bob also leaves his father-in-law, Louis Ventura and his wife Rose; sisters-in-law: Francesca Sabo and her husband Chuck, and Mary Chapulis and her husband Michael. Bob also leaves his constant Canine companions: Dillion and Cami, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Blue Island, Illinois, son of the late Robert Dunlap, and was a graduate of Lyons Township High School. He served two years in the United States Army serving in Germany. Robert was a graduate of Elmhurst College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. Bob was the New England District Sales Manager for the Chicago Metallic Company and was still working there up until his passing. Previously, he worked for the Celotex Company.

Bob loved all sports and until his illness, played actively on several softball teams. He had an outgoing personality and made friends everywhere he went. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Calling hours in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. will be held on Friday evening from 4-7PM. A Memorial Celebration of Bob's life will be held privately at the families convenience After cremation, disposition of the ashes will be private. Memorial contributions in Bob's memory made be made to the ASPCA Special Giving, 110 Fifth Ave, 2nd Flr, NY, NY 10011, Att. Linda Tiramani or Brigham And Women's Neuro Science Dept, 9th flr ICU, 75 Francis St., Boston, MA 02115.

First of all my hearfelt sympathy to all ther fsmly. You all are very generous to ask money to go to the ASPCA in your loved one's name.
