Frances Travinski Obituary

Frances J. (Laukevich) Travinski, 84, died peacefully at Hartford Hospital on November 9th after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Travinski in 1994, and her parents Caroline and Joseph Laukevich. Frances was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1923. She moved to Woodstock with her parents in 1933 where she met her beloved husband, Joseph who she married May 3, 1947. Frances worked for Southbridge Tire Co., the family business, for many years before retiring. She was a devout member of St. Stephen's Church in Quinebaug. She enjoyed attending plays at the Bradley Playhouse and traveling with the Putnam Travelers with her son and companion, Michael. She loved to spend time with her family and was a proud new great grandmother.

Frances is survived by her sons Joseph and his wife, Sandy, Stephen and his wife, Linda, and Michael, her grandchildren and their spouses, Erika and Brian Maynard, Christopher and Lena Travinski, Shawn and Tacey Gaudette, Joshua Travinski and Michelle Dobler, and Jeremy Travinski; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Triston.

The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., Southbridge, MA, with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Stephen's Church, 130 Old Turnpike Rd., Quinebaug, CT. Burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Woodstock Rd., Southbridge, MA. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 10:15 AM. The family requests no flowers; kindly make memorial donations to The Center of Hope, PO Box 66, Southbridge, MA 01550.
