Margaret M. Dolan

Margaret M. Dolan, 79, of Madison, CT passed away November 29, 2007.

She was born March 22, 1928 in Boston. She is the daughter of George W. and Ruth (Sullivan) McCarthy. Margaret is preceded in death by parents, son, Christopher M. Dolan, sister, Ruth Grainger and her husband, Robert and sister, Clare Preissing.

Margaret is survived by loving husband of over 54 years, Dr. Thomas F. Dolan Jr. and children: daughter, Karen Garner and her husband, Stephen of Bolton, MA, son, Kevin Dolan and his wife, Lorraine (Kirst) of Madison, CT, daughter, Maureen Dolan and her husband, David Brown of Seattle, daughter, Evelyn R. Dolan of Fitchburg, MA. Margaret is also survived by loving grandchildren, Brady, Keara, Ryan and Kirsten Dolan, all of Madison, CT, brother, George McCarthy and his wife, Virginia of Belmont, MA and sister, Andrea Walsh and her husband, John of Ipswich, MA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Red Sox fan. Margaret grew up in Medford, MA and spent the last 38 years in Madison, CT. She also enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Franklin, Maine.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday, December 4, at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd, Madison, CT. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Academy Street, Madison with committal to follow at West Cemetery.
