Frances Keegan Obituary

Frances (Sivik) Keegan, 83, died December 8, 2007 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge. She leaves her husband of 63 years, Edward Keegan Jr. of Uxbridge; one son, Edward Keegan III of Uxbridge and four daughters, Gail Newcombe and her husband Robert also of Uxbridge, Cheryl Keegan of Linwood, Donna Keegan of Worcester and Deborah Cochrane and her husband Danny of Whitinsville; a sister, Ann Bromley of California, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was born July 11, 1924 in Nasonville, R.I., the youngest of five children born to Wikta and Mykola Swisczc and is predeceased by her brothers Henry and Peter and her sister Mary. She was educated in Uxbridge Public Schools and worked for many years as a skilled textile worker. She enjoyed Polish dancing and Bingo and will always be remembered for her loving spirit and generous ways.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Beaumont for their many months of loving care.

Her funeral Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, December 11, at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church, 17 Lincoln St., Millville. A private burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Arrangements are under the direction of Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge.
