Dear Carol, Billy, and the rest of the family,

I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing.

I can still remember the summer of '81 when I hung around your house everyday. Your mom was always very welcoming and didn't mind that I was there night and day and didn't hesitate to include me in the frequent trips to the Mystic Lake. She was a very kind person and I'm sure she'll be missed.

Please take care and may God give you strength at this time.

My condolences,

Dear Ruth and Family -
Having lost my father this past February, you have my complete sympathy and empathy. I have found that the best way to honor my dad is to cherish the time with the balance of my family because in them, his spirit and teachings live on.

Carol, Claire, Billy, Ruth, Phillip and Rich - (but especially Carol...)

No words can express how truly sorry I feel for your loss.

I grew up in the Polleys house surrounded by your family. Your mom was a wonderful person with a great outlook on life. I will always remember her fondly wearing her dog earmuffs on cold winter days because she knew it made people smile. She stopped at my house each morning to drive us to school. No matter how many times I made everyone late - she still came by with a joke and a ride.

She was a great mom - you are all living proof of that.

You are in my thoughts.

Kind Regards,

Wendy Williams

Even on her sickest days, she was full of energy and life. I always called her "Ma" because when you walked into her house you became part of the family.

To my dear friend Ruth and the rest of the Polleys family, my deepest condolences.

Ma, you will be missed!

Love, Wendy

To Marilyn's Children
I have only recently known your Mom but we were instant friends. Yes, she did like to talk but her "talk" was so positive and upbeat that I truly enjoyed our conversations. She loves all of you and is very proud of you.
I last talked with Marilyn on Nov. 21st, the night before Thanksgiving, we laughed and kidded about recipes and traditions and kids and grandkids.
I wish I had known Marilyn 40 years ago!

Dear Ruth and family:

I was saddened to learn of your mom's passing. Although I have not seen her since she retired from the bank, I have thought of her often and fondly. Each time I drive down College Avenue or pass by the branch on Mass Ave I am reminded of the many times she cracked a smile after greeting me with the familiar "Here comes trouble!" Her good humor brightened every encounter and I appreciate the time she took to listened to news of what was happening in the lives of my family as she helped me with my banking.

While I know that no words of mine can minimize the loss you feel today, I hope that you are comforted by many happy memories and that you are able to rely on each other during this difficult time.
My sincere sympathy to you all.

TO MAL'S CHILDREN:
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's death. I last saw her when we went to the last SHS Reunion in 2003 and rode home together.

I lived on Hall Avenue when she was on Morrison, and we spent lots of time together with all the other teen-agers on Morrison. Your grandmother loved entertaining us.

Mal and I rode to SHS with Ms. Sweet, SHS Music Dept. many-a-cold morning--when Ms. Sweet would see us running late for the bus. Mal and I always had good parts in the annual SHS musical concerts (maybe because Ms. Sweet liked us)! Those were the days before your Dad came into the picture.

I have such good memories of our adventures as teen-agers. (Too many to share here.)

Mal loved you all so much. I know you will miss her a lot. My prayers are with you all at this time of loss.

My sincere sympathy.
