I have such wonderful memories of Joyce. She was a wonderful person and truly loved her family. She was very much loved by her Damery family and will be missed. With me being the baby of the family, she has been a part of our family longer than me. We always laughed and had fun with that. She was great sister-in-law, daughter, mother and friend. We all know she is in a better place and that makes it easier.

Joyce started out as a professor -- and ended up a friend. She was an inspiration and knew how to push people to do their very best. I am saddened by her passing and wish I had been in town for her services. My sympathies to her family.

Joyce was a classmate of mine at Arcola. I have fond memories of her and was always impressed with her kindness and respect for others. We are planning our 50th reunion next year and we are all saddened that she will not be with us. May God bless each member of her family and may you find peace that she is with her Heavenly Father. This is a sad day for me, personally. God Bless.

How I admired Joyce!! It is no coincidence that my last words spoken to her were You look so beautiful! That was Easter Sunday at the church. And she was beautiful, inside and out! I first met Joyce at TC3 as my instructor and the first day of class she told us if we paid attention and did the work, she would give us a kiss. We all looked up at her and she held up a bag of Hershey's Candy Kisses!!!! She was a pure joy to know, and so full of life that I can't believe she has left us. my prayers with her family...
hugs,
Joan (Gilbert) Forshee

She understood that life is about loving God and loving people. Joyce was taken suddenly but not tragically because we know where you are! I smile when I think of Joyce hearing those words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I was so very sad to hear of Joyce's recent passing. Between Angela's DHS music events so many years ago, working at TC3 with Joyce just before she retired, and then occasionally running into her around town, I always enjoyed chatting with her. She was such a warm and caring person who will be greatly missed by many. My deepest sympathies to her family at this very difficult time.

Oh how I will miss Joyce! She was an
active member of our church, and a
lovely lady. I will miss her so much.
She added so much to our Ladies
Bible Study Group and to our Vacation Bible Schools and other things. She was a wonderful addition
to our church family. The good news
is that if we know Jesus Christ as our
personal Saviour we will see her again. She is with her Lord and Saviour who she served with faithfulness. I will miss you Joyce .....till we meet again! Loveya,
Jean

I first met Joyce Damery 21 yrs. ago at TC3. She was my Professor, mentor, and eventual friend. Her no-nonsense approach to teaching has had and will continue to have valuable meaning to me. So much of what she taught me, I have gone on to teach others. Joyce, didn't teach from a text book as much as she taught from her heart and from her own life experiences. If the greatest form of flattery is imitation, she was greatly flattered by me.
Joyce, was a genuine people person who offered unconditional love for her friends and her family.
I for one will never forget her or the great lessons she taught.
God bless Nathan and Angela, my prayers are with you.

I have so many fond memories of Joyce. We raised our kids together, even though we were miles apart. We spent many summers in New York and Christmases in Illinois. She always had a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. She was a great sister in law! My kids loved her apple pies! We all know she is in a better place now but we all will truly miss her

I knew Ms. Damery as my teacher at TC3. I had learned much from her and have used her guidance through my own business life. She was stern and patient at the same time. My thoughts are with you.
