RONALD T. EVA
GENOA - Ronald T. Eva, 75, of Bradley St., Genoa, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008. Mr. Eva was born October 1, 1932 in Ithaca, a son of Wesley and Alice (Hyland) Eva. He was a former resident of Ithaca and Interlaken, prior to moving to Genoa in 1970. Ron had been employed in general construction for most of his life and he was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7127 of Moravia, and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Hazel (Kerns) Eva; his children, Donald (Linda) Eva of Interlaken, Michael (Cheri) Knapp of Freeville, Sherri (Frank) Nye of Lodi, and Karen Knapp of Interlaken; his stepchildren, William (Lori) Swartout of Maine, NY, Edward (Georgette) Swartout and Gail Stamp, all of Genoa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held by the family and there will be no calling hours. In Ron's memory, contributions may be made to Howd Nursing Home, 7 Keeler Ave., Moravia, NY 13118.

Rest in Peace Ronnie and God Speed. We will cherish all our memories of yesterday.
Those were the days...you were one heluva guy, one heluva worker, and one heluva friend to everyone that knew you.
Sorry we can't be there, but we see your kids now and then...we will share yesterday memories with them.
The Brewer gang you hunted and partied with are all gone now too. Enjoy euchre up there...and watch Uncle Maynard he cheats. :)
