W. LaLonde Obituary
ITHACA - W. Glen LaLonde, 84, of 2250 North Triphammer Road, Ithaca, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the Hospicare residence of Tompkins County, son of the late William and Martha Winegar LaLonde.
W. Glen was an Army Veteran of WWII, a lifelong resident of Lansing, NY, and retired from the Cayuga Rock Salt Co. after many years of service.
Survivors include sons, Donnie (Kathy) and Roger (Diane) LaLonde, both of Lansing, NY; grandsons, Todd (Valerie), Robert and Brian LaLonde; two sisters, Mary Slaght of Ithaca, and Ada Whitney of Cortland, NY; several nieces, nephews; also a longtime companion, Barbara Riley.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Frances (1989).
Private graveside services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery, King Ferry, NY. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14950, or the charity of one's choice. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

To all of Glen's family,
Our family has been most fortunate to know Glen. He was a wonderful companion for my grandmother, Barbara Riley. It was nice to see that they had each other for so many years. He was always so patient and kind with our three young boys when we came to visit. Glen met our newest son last week, and I think he was happy he had the chance to do so. We will miss Glen.
