Violet Poole Obituary
ITHACA - Violet M. Poole, 84, of 226 Bundy Road, Ithaca, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Ocello Multari.
Violet was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the VFW Post 961 Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughter, Connie (Edward) Amici; sons, William (Martha) Poole, Donald "Skip" (Barbara) Poole and Robert (Julie) Poole; one sister, Mary Tapson of Chicago, IL; also grandchildren, Michael (Jen), Timothy (Kara) Amici and Ronnie (Kathy), Darcy, Bridget, A.J. and Darrin (Laurie) Poole, Matthew Poole, also Shelly (Pat) Tierney and Nicole (Dustin) Brown; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Kaitlin Amica, Taylor Tierney, Nathaniel Poole and Jake Brown.
Besides her parents, Violet was predeceased by her husband, Claude A. Poole, 1972; and sisters, Elaine Hepworth, Frances Rumsey and Theresa Ryerson; and a brother, Joseph Multari.
The Poole family would like to express a special thank you to caregiver, Ashley Wilson for her special care to our mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, with Rev. Leo Reinhardt officiating. There are no calling hours. Private burial to be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Butch,Skip,Connie, Bobby and Families,
Your Mom was a sweetheart. I have many happy memories of her.
She enjoyed a good time and I feel it was her time to leave the party! She did not have to suffer or leave her home. The last face she saw was Connie's, who she loved so much......so that's a good thing.
There are often special people whose lives become intertwined with our own, and in my case I am very happy to have spent time through the years with the Poole family, and I'm glad we are all still friends.
