Mother Hubbard, I am so thankful for having been able to be a part of your family. I wished that we would have been able to spend more time together. I will never forget the times we went to church together and you held my hand so tight. The feeling of love and God overwhelmed me and with your touch on my hand, the feeling that God loved me through you was also just as overwhelming. I am so thankful that you brought your son into this world for me to love. I could never thank you enough. Through this experience, I have suddenly been made to feel that I have more family than I ever knew. With the loss of my father recently, there is nothing more I need than to feel that. You have touched so many people and through your spirit, your family conitinues to reflect that unconditional love to everyone around, including me. I have truly been blessed to know you and to love you. I know that you are where you want to be right now. Until we meet again, with all the love I have, your daughter in law, Jennifer.

Mom, it's your son Jackie...this is my second attempt to place an entry in this. Hopefully it works this time. I wanted to let you know that we will miss you dearly and I never realized how many lives you touched until now. Other than mine. If not for the love and the lessons of life you have shown me, I would not be the man I am today. When you see Dad, please give him a hug for me. The pain is over now for you. I will never forget you. Thank you Mom for everything you have done for me in my life. Your granddaughter Destiny will miss you also. I am glad that the two of you had time to get to know each other and that she knows who you are and the legacy that you leave behind. I do know where home is and one day I will make it back. I love you very much.

Dear Aunt Mildred and family,
You will be greatly missed. I can remember how you always said, that you would watch out for my father when you were living right next door to him. I want you to know how much I appreciated that. Now you are both with God and he will always bless us to continue to live in his glory.
Your Neice,

My dearest Aunt Mildred, you will certainly be missed. Truly your life was one filled with love, devotion and service to God. Your life should be a shinning example of what God's love is all about...unconditional, forgiving and always present. I will never forget how you cared for me and Jocelyn during my "beginning parent" years. You were always there for me. I love you so much and I will see you again soon. Say hello to my Antonio, he's up there probably talking to Jesus or Paul. Love you forever.

'Mother' Hubbard was truly very much loved in the community and will be sadly missed by many.

She was an inspiration and her spiritual life and relationship with God was very deep and meaningful to her while she walked the earth, and she wanted to share her faith.

May God comfort her family and countless other loved ones with the knowledge that she is with her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in paradise.

Now she has a new 'birthday' in heaven, and sees God's face, and feels unspeakable joy! She has eternal life!

Several years ago she told me that she could go on with the difficulties in this life “Because He Lives,” and she recited the lyrics of the hymn to me.

May you find hope and a special truth in the words of that well-known song, and through her example of being 'like a light in the darkness.'

(It appears that my post was not accepted previously on September 28th because I had originally included the copyrighted lyrics.)

God bless you all,

Sincerely,

Lisa Sundquist,

"Each Life Is a Song" A message of sympathy.

"A life is like a song we write in our own tone and key.
Each life we touch reflects a note that forms the melody.
We choose the theme and chorus of the song to bear our
name, and each will have special sound, no tow can be the
same..."

So when someone we love departs, in memory we find their song plays on within the hearts of those they leave behind.

I talked with aunt Mildred a few days ago and our conversation left her in good spirits, happy and smiling.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

The words I am sorry don't seem like enough. I know that God has a special plan for Aunt Mildred or else he would not have called her home, he would have continued to use her here on earth. Climbing the stair way to heaven, Wow! how happy she must be. I love you Aunt Mildred and I'll see you when I get there. Maybe there's another cafeteria line and you'll be standing there. Love; Princess, Granddaughter of the Late William Johnson Sr.
