GEORGETTE L. DURYEA
"Aunt Honey"
GENOA - Georgette L. Duryea, age 83, of Genoa, NY, formerly of Elmira, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Georgette was a daughter of the late Theodore and Ethel Bernhardt VanKeuren. She was predeceased by her son Wayne E. Duryea on September 27, 2002. Georgette is survived by her daughter Linda J. Reeves of Genoa NY with her husband Gregory and her children, Michael, Shawn, Daniel and Heather; son Robert F. Duryea of Patchogue LI; daughter Cindy E. Hoose of Elmira with her husband Scott and her children, Jason, Jennifer, Lorie, Steven and Michael; daughter-in-law Barbara J. Duryea of Elmira with her children, Kevin, Karen and Kurtis; sisters, Doris Rignola of Florida, Barbara (Dick) Purcell of Nevada, and Catherine (Ernie) Sprague of upstate New York; also surviving are several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Georgette cherished her family, and her greatest joy was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Monday, October 13, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
