Eugene Hauck Obituary
CORTLAND - Eugene David Hauck, age 76, of 1908 Daisy Hollow Rd., Cortland, NY, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008, at the Cortland Care Center.
Born August 1, 1932 in Virgil, NY, he was a son of the late George and Caroline Hauck and husband of the late Marlene Gunn Hauck. Mr. Hauck proudly served his country in the US Army and was retired from Smith Corona in Cortland.
Mr. Hauck is survived by his son, David (Lisa) Hauck of Cortland, NY; his daughter, Lori (Richard) Barber of Cortland, NY; brother, Alexander Hauck of Virgil, NY; sisters, Barbara Mott of Groton, NY, Shirley (Gerald) Morse of Cortland, NY and Phyllis Hauck of Dryden, NY; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, George Hauck; and sisters, Elizabeth Dunn and Carolyn Hauck.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. David Nicholls officiating. Burial will follow at Virgil Rural Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Dryden Veteran's Memorial Home Ritual Team. Friends may call from 11 - 12 prior the service at the funeral home.

David, Lori and families: May you find comfort in all of the wonderful memories of your dad. I will always remember the wonderful times we had as kids at the great picnics your mom and dad used to host; playing in the "crick" by the house and riding bikes all over those back roads. Uncle Gene was a wonderful and caring man, and we will all miss him very much. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
