Dear Darlene and Melody, I just learned of the death of your mother and I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of your mother. I will forever remember her as our crossing guard on Ithaca Road getting us safely to school; no matter how cold it was! She was always cheerful and pleasant. I remember that she was totally devoted to both of you. I saw her last in 2001 when she very sweetly came to pay her respects after my father's death. I was so touched that she came and it was great to see her. I hope your memories will provide you comfort. She really was a special lady.

Josie has become a great friend to us over the past few years. We will surely miss her smiling face on Tuesday's at the food pantry and our pleasant phone conversations. May God bless the family and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My grams was a wonderful women and an awesome grandma. She did alot of things in her life including being an influence in mine.I will truly miss my grams but know that she is in a better place now. I will always keep all the fond & fun memories we had together in my daily life. I will continue to share those with my daughters, Jessalyn & Cyreiah. I will help Jessalyn to continue her memories of her granny. I will also keep my grams in my younger daughters life by always telling her stories of her granny. Her life may have been ended but her memories and legacy will continue to go on...

I truly don't know what to say. I'm in shock. I will miss Mrs. Young terribly. I had her as a neighbor for six years, during which time she treated me like family. She was a wonderful, caring person, and will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace, Mrs. Young.

I didn't know Josephine personally, but knowing the fine daughter she raised, speaks much about the kind of person she was. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
