Helena Kozak Obituary
ITHACA - Helena Kozak died at the Cayuga Medical Center on November 2, 2008. She was born in Lublin, Poland on November 23, 1919, the daughter of Stanislaus and Maria Kowalski.
Helena is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bruno Kozak; and by her children, Henry Kozak of Bloomsburg, PA, and George (Mary Ann) Kozak of Ithaca; grandchildren, Genny Kozak of Madison, WI, Wendy Kozak of Los Angeles, CA, Scott, Jeremiah, John and Isaiah Kozak of Ithaca; and numerous nephews and nieces in Poland.
Helena was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo Reinhardt on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helena's memory may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Lakeside Nursing Home, Cayuga Medical Center and Hospicare for the care they gave Helena. She will greatly be missed by us all.
