Evelyn Smith Obituary
ITHACA - Evelyn L. Smith passed away October 06, 2007 at the Beatitudes where she spent the last several years with that lively group in the South Building. Mom was preceded by her soul mate, Don Smith, spending the last 26 years without him; she can now enjoy his company again.
Evelyn was the mother of two sons, Dennis, wife, Linda and grandchild, Tracy, Byron, wife, Donna, grandchildren, Tammy with three children, Keith with five children, Sumer with two children, expecting the 3rd child, Devin, and Brandy with two children.
Mom was born 1920 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of Webster and Louise McLeary.
To ensure all her family can attend the service, it will be held on October 29 at 2:00 on campus at the Beatitudes, 1610 W. Glendale, Phoenix, at their Life Center; a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, Mom's wish is for donations to go to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656, so that others may receive needed support.

From earliest days of my childhood I remember driving across the valley to Scottsdale to visit the Smith's.There was alot of vacant space in Phoenix in 1956. Evie always was so nice to us kids. As time passed it was always nice to talk to her. She will be missed by all who knew her and Don.
God'd blessing to Byron and Dennis and their families.
