Kenneth Allen Obituary

KENNETH F. ALLEN
GROTON - Kenneth F. Allen, 71, of the VA Home in Oxford, formerly of Sharpsteen Road, Groton, NY, died October 29, 2007 at Wilson Regional Medical Center.
Born April 20, 1936 in Alfred, NY, he was the son of the late Clifford and Florence Allen.
Having been a lifelong resident of the area, he had been employed for many years retiring in the 80's from Cornell University. As a side interest, he enjoyed gardening and maintaining his property.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Harold "Wayne" (Marie) Simons, Whiteville, NC, Steve (Donna) Simons of Groton, NY, and Denise (Robert) Kirk of Spartanburg, SC; a nephew, Bruce Allen; and a niece, Evie Ann Bond, both of NJ; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Wilma in 1999.
Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at the Peruville New Testament Church with the Rev. John Iler officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hills Cemetery in the town of Amity, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Testament Church in Peruville.
Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton, has care of arrangements.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ken's family. Sometimes we cannot be together in person when we would want to but you are in our thoughts.

Gosh,I do not know where to start, but to say my prayers are with you all.Ken was sure a real great and loving person. He was a real good friend.I have so many fun memories of Ken and Wilma together.
