AUDREY MARY GEISELMANN
WYOMISSING, PA - Audrey Mary Geiselmann, 83, of Wyomissing, PA, entered into rest on Friday, November 2, 2007, at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Born on a dairy farm in Meadowdale Farm, Franklin, NY, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Clark and Mildred Elizabeth (Payne) Rowell. Her high school sweetheart and husband of 58 years, Harrison Adam Geiselmann, died on September 3, 2003.
Audrey worked at Scintilla Bendix Corp., Sidney, NY for 8 years, and Cornell University for 32 years. She and her husband settled in Ithaca, NY, where Harrison received his Ph.D. and stayed as a Professor at Cornell University. After retirement, they moved to Englewood, FL, then as a widow at the Highlands in Wyomissing, she participated in a number of committees and enjoyed many classes, lectures and concerts.
Second to her lifelong love of and devotion to her husband and daughter, were her love of music, reading, traveling, and the countryside. Her friendly and engaging manner will be missed by many. She was a member of Congregational Baptist Church, Franklin, NY, and attended the Methodist Church in Englewood, FL. A graduate of Franklin Central High School, Audrey attended Syracuse University. She enjoyed watching the Cornell University football, hockey, and basketball games.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Geiselmann Hamill, Reinholds, PA; a son-in-law, James Hamill Jr., Reinholds, PA; a granddaughter, Karen E. Hamill, a student at Boston University; sisters, Barbara Rowell Oles, Andes, NY and Gainesville, FL, and Marilyn Rowell (John) Monaco, Schenectady, NY; a brother, James Rowell (Anita Cleveland), Kingston, NY; nieces, Kathy Oles Wooden, Gail Geiselmann Browning, Susan Oles Lazar, Debbie Oles Dow, and Linda Rowell Marvin; and nephews, Dr. John Monaco, Jeffrey Rowell, Mark Monaco, Timothy Rowell, and Christopher Geiselmann. Audrey was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Clark Rowell Jr.; and a niece, Judy Rowell.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. in Swamp Christian Fellowship, 390 Swamp Church Rd., Reinholds, PA with Rev. M. Craig Snow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
